UNITED WE STAND......PAVING THE WAY FOR OUR FUTURE
COMING TOGETHER, SHARING TOGETHER, WORKING TOGETHER, SUCCEEDING TOGETHER
CA Council Dream Team of 2013 sends out a great big
THANK YOU to the returning members for making this their association of choice and WELCOME
to the new members that have joined local chapters in California. I am proud to represent this wonderful
state that provides continuing opportunity for it’s members.
As this is being written, Chapters are busy planning
their installation ceremonies for their new officers and the annual Leadership workshop is in full planning stages.
This workshop is an annual event that is presented by the CA Council Team and is geared towards providing tools and
information for current leaders as well as future leaders. This year promises to be different and exciting
as well as interactive. After the workshop is completed, hand outs and information will be posted to the
website. Below is a list of my personal goals for the 2013/2014 term. I am sure as time
progresses, a few more will be added.
- Promote IAIP awareness to employers
- Develop future leaders by promoting IAIP Educational Courses
- Continue with ICC (Inter Coordinating Council) Meetings throughout the state
- Work closely with RVP to reach the goals set for Region VIII
- Work with the PR team to update and simplify CA Council website
- Create a Statewide Community Action Project
In the first quarter of our term, California is busy at work planning many events and fund raisers including Education
Days, Not so Auction/Auctions, Fashion Shows, Golf Tournaments, Tailgate Parties and Horse Racing to name
a few. And oh yes, let’s not forget Council. Insurance Professionals of San Joaquin
County have been working very hard to make this one of the best events of the year. We hope to see you
Einstein once said “In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity”. I believe opportunity is knocking at our door and it is our responsibility as leaders
to take responsibility and to move forward. While it is healthy to have
opinions, let us all work willingly together and not let these differences drive us away. Adaptability
is being able to adjust oneself readily to different conditions and I have faith that we are adaptable, hence my theme this
year of United We Stand.
As a final note, please be sure to check out the CA Council website on a regular basis
for information happening in the state: www.cacouncilnaiw.com. We welcome one and all. Have a Great First
